今日は映画の日です。スクール・オブ・ロックを観ました。

ミュージシャンでもあるジャック・ブラックが破天荒なロッカー教師を演じるコメディータッチの人間ドラマ。名門小学校にそぐわないニセ教師と小学生たちがロックを通じて交流を深める、笑いと風刺、感動、そして涙ありの作品。監督に「オースティン映画協会」の設立者であり『恋人までの距離』のリチャード・リンクレイター。脚本は本作で友人役を演じるマイク・ホワイト。実際に楽器を演奏している子役たちの演奏の巧さもにも注目だが、ジャック・ブラック演じるユニークなロックン・ロール教師からは目が離せない！
教室の中であれだけ大きな音で演奏してたら、いくら防音処理した所でもっと早くばれるだろ！ってつっこみをいれたくなるのはいいとして、全体を通して楽しめました。ロックは反抗です。風刺としては、教育問題になるのでしょうが、いわゆるPrep Schoolに対する批判・反抗なのでしょうか？？？子供の才能を引き伸ばすのは良いとしても、子供が真にやりたいことを伸ばしてあげるのが一番ですよね。無理やりやらせたところで、思春期過ぎたらどうせだめだろうしね(それでもやらせて極めさせて世界的に認められてる方々もたくさんいるけどさ)。英才教育なんてしないに限る？(語学は別)
しかし、オーディションを勝ち抜いた子供たちはみんな演奏が上手！この映画を元にプロデュースにつなげるというのだから、あたりまえか。映画の中にも、映画の外にも、夢があっていいな〜。
