砂と霧の家を観た。

ある家をめぐって繰り広げられる2つの家族の物語。美しい夕日と海を望む家を、政府のミスで失うキャシーにジェニファー・コネリー。競売でキャシーの家を手に入れるベラーニ元大佐にベン・キングスレー。アカデミー賞俳優の2人がどうにもならない行き詰まった状況を見事な演技で表現している。
一つの家をめぐる、こじれにこじれた人間関係を描く。っていうか、こじれすぎで、悲劇すぎ。しかし、「家」に対する人の思いというものは、車とかとは違い非常に特別な感情であるのは万国共通か。
ベン・キングスレーの中東英語のうまさにびっくり。この人普通の英語喋りますよね、普段？
