“コメディの帝王”ジム・キャリーが、持ち前のコメディセンスを存分に発揮したブラックユーモアたっぷりの復讐劇。裕福なサラリーマン生活から一転、強盗になることを余儀なくされた夫婦が、不条理な社会に復讐を挑む。まじめな強盗にふんするのは、本作の製作陣にも名を連ねるジム・キャリーと、『天使のくれた時間』のティア・レオーニ。どこか憎めない2人の、夫婦漫才が笑いを誘う。
1977年に制作された、「おかしな泥棒ディック＆ジェーン」のリメイクです。どの程度忠実にリメイクされたのかは分かりませんが、如何なる逆境にも挫けず愛し合う夫婦は、1977年だからなのでしょうか？現代なら、あっさり捨てられるのが落ちなのでは。
ジム・キャリーの演技は最高！一人の世界に入っています。虚仮にされたある会社の社長を縛り上げ、その前でおふざけするのですが、爆笑です。こらえるのに必死だった、、、。
